Or so Misty told me a couple of years ago. I am now the proud owner of a sparkling tiara. Don't know what I'm going to do with it but the price was right.

Outdoor events are so at the mercy of the weather. We went to an outdoor antique show/flea market. Just happened to be in one of the buildings when a downpour occured - I mean a really big downpour. Only lasted about 5 minutes but enough that some of the vendors went home. Managed to get thru the rest of the show without getting wet, tho we kind of rushed the last couple of aisles. Didn't quite make it to the car before it started raining but not hard till we were on the road and again in just a few minutes it was over.  Somehow rain is easier to take at faire than other places - haven't quite figured out why.

A couple of things 'got away' yesterday but for the most part it was an enjoyable show. They had a wooden piccolo with a couple of keys. Looked fairly old, but the head stock was cracked and they still wanted $225. More than I had and I wasn't willing to spend that much. Saw a couple of old piano stools, the ones I could afford were missing parts and the one that looked good cost too much. Don't know why I want one but I do - but it has to have the animal feet with crystal balls. Not the easiest thing to find. Saw a fair number of spinning wheels. Never had wanted one before I found the one at the in laws house that I had to give back to FIL's sister (I know it was the right thing to do but...) Haven't decided whether I'm going to spend that much and buy one or not - have to do some research online and see how much a new one goes for. But that is for the future, no more flea markets now until September or October - after faire is over, not that they don't have them, we just don't go - would rather do Bristol.

Got something rather unusual. Must be from the 50's or early 60's. It's a salt and pepper set, but you'd never know it. It is a music staff complete with clef and sharp and the 2 notes are the salt and pepper.  Don't think it ever was used and fits in with all the other music stuff I have (mostly in my music room but some thruout the house)
