The faire had a completely different atmosphere today than yesterday. Could be that we knew where we were going and had talked to some people yesterdy, could just be that there seemed to be less patrons to begin with and more performers. I don't know what it was but I enjoyed myself more today than yesterday (not to say that yesterday was a bust because it was a fun way to spend a birthday).

We had about 4 shows we 'had' to see today and did. Didn't get to see/hear as much of Ramblng Sailor as we would have liked but then it wasn't Bristol and we had other things to see since we won't be coming back. Did some shopping but only bought a faire mug for DH plus cds and a Hey Nunnie Nunnie dvd.

Not impressed with the food choices. Was looking forward to a scotch egg but it wasn't very good. Discovered a crepe stand and had a ham and turkey combo. Really good. The owner? gave us the employee discount both days even tho we told him we were only visiting.

Talked some with Bathos whom we had met about 10 years ago. He acted as if he remembered us, but then people tend to do that with us. Doubt that we made that much of an impression back then but who knows. We listened to the musicians jam at opening gate for almost half an hour (had to leave to hear Rambling Sailor) Made an impression on Bobba? Kind of an Axel the Sot that plays fiddle lyiing down. He was awfully nice to us all day. Also talked some to Zilch.

At the end of the day pub sing, Rambling Sailor invited us to go to a jam at a bar in Charlotte. Then Zilch and Bathos asked us after the pub sing. Would have been nice to go, was real nice that they asked us, but it seemed quite a ways from where we are staying and not knowing the area seemed more prudent not to go. But it was flattering to say the least.

It was a fun faire. Glad we came even tho it was over 1000 miles to get here. Tomorrow morning we start for home. Planning to make it to  Paduch KY so I can go fabric shopping tuesday morning.

Oh my stars, somehow I missed that it was your birthday! Since I'm too late to wish you a happy one, I will instead wish you a happy rest-of-your-birthday-WEEK.

And I'll make sure to mark my calendar for next year!

*hug*
